most of the food we've tried here is new when we did get to earth, and we both ended up there eventually (another long story, you don't need this one), we could eat whatever we found that wasn't poisonous so that's nuts, berries, wild turnips and carrots and whatnot, and game so yeah, an apple pie will blow his mind it'll probably blow mine too
